I grew up in a military family that from an early age taught me to treat people with respect, work hard and serve your community. I have taken those values with me to the Borough Assembly where I have worked with members of the community to solve problems in the most cost-effective way possible and make wise investments for the long term. I love the Valley’s can-do spirit and am honored to have the support of people from across the Mat-Su.

Having sat through many Assembly meetings, I've been impressed by Stephanie Nowers actions both in general and also as a constituent of hers. She knows the meeting packet for each meeting and comes prepared and focuses on the relevant issues. She clearly explains her support for or reservations about pending legislation. She has been adamant about the need for full transparency on issues that affect private property rights. and the need for public input. Also, she takes the long view on pending legislation; what will be the financial and human impacts in the months and years to come and not just the immediate results. She has represented District 2 well and will continue to do so.

As the primary member of the RSA #9 Board for over 20 years, I can remember only one Assembly member who has ever attended a meeting of this board – Stephanie Nowers. Her district only contains a small section of RSA #9 roads, but she’s looking out for all of her district and the Borough as a whole. As a member of the Water and Wastewater Advisory Board (aka Wastewater and Septic Advisory Board), I commend Stephanie for paying attention to the weighty issues that face the Borough in disposing of our septic waste.
There are a few other issues that I’ve taken to Stephanie during her tenure, and she’s never shirked or ignored a single one of them. It has been my experience since Stephanie has been in office, that she will accept a phone call from someone who isn’t even in her district and listen to the issues. And she gives them a fair review and assures that her reasons for supporting issues, or for not supporting them, are well researched and well grounded. Stephanie’s not only a great representative for District 2, she’s a great representative for the entire Borough. That’s the job Stephanie took on, and that’s a job Stephanie’s done well.
